Dance Elek-tra's policy for the 2009-2010 season: There will be a charge for participation in the end of the year performance of $125.00 per Family. This fee will entitle each family to 4 tickets, a DVD of the recital and a recital finale t-shirt. Any additional tickets will be sold on ticket day for $12.00 each. As always both your guaranteed tickets as well as additional tickets are given out on a first come first serve basis. To qualify for the show, each student must attend 80% or the year's lessons, all rehearsals and be fully paid for the entire year's tuition and all costumes. Students are required to remain backstage for the entire performance. Any student who must go home early must have their family select tickets in the back of the auditorium so as not to distract the other spectators. Your child may be required to dance in two performances depending on registration. The recital is approximately 2 hours long. Tickets are given out in April 2010. The studio is not just a recital school; therefore no student should feel they have to dance in the recital, since the whole lesson is not devoted to a recital routine. We prefer only one parent attend the dress rehearsal. No Men are permitted at the dress rehearsal for the 6:30 show due to costume changes. Please try to leave siblings at home.
Costumes: Usually cost approximately $80.00 to $95.00. Some costumes for the older students may cost slightly more. An additional charge of $10.00-$20.00 for tights will be added to the total cost depending on the kind of tights needed. Tights must be purchased through the studio so that all students tights are the same color and dye lot. Costumes cannot be canceled and therefore they are non-refundable. Costumes will not be released if there are any outstanding account balances. A $50.00 deposit is required for each costume being ordered. All deposits are due by October 15, 2009 and balances will be due by January 20, 2010.
